Makkah Arabic Academy is different from many other Arabic and Qur’an teaching websites.
Sadly, there are cases where online platforms take extremely high commissions from student fees — sometimes up to 70–85% — leaving teachers earning as little as £1–£2 per lesson.
We believe this is exploitation — and there is no barakah in injustice, ẓulm (ظلم).
Teaching the Qur’an is an amanah – a trust – and those who dedicate their lives to Allah’s Book deserve dignity and fair treatment.
Our teachers are highly qualified and come primarily from Egypt, and we are also honoured to support Palestinian refugee teachers from Gaza living in Egypt, ensuring they are treated with fairness and respect.
That is why:
